Heart Institute of the Cascades supports programs that develop state-of-the-art resources for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease, right here in Central Oregon. From cardiac catheterization to open heart surgery to the nation's first mobile electron beam tomography scanner, the Heart Institute supports innovative research and educational programs to help you and the people you care about in the fight against heart disease.
Heart Institute of the Cascades is a collaborative effort of St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, PC, and Heart Center Cardiology. Its purpose is to improve the health and wellness of the people of Central Oregon and the Pacific Northwest by supporting and promoting best practices in cardiovascular care, performing research, and providing education. Collectively, these efforts lead to the best cardiovascular care in the Northwest.
St. Charles Medical Center-Bend is a nationally recognized referral center for a 32,000 square mile area of Central and Eastern Oregon. Heart Center Cardiology includes some of the best cardiologists in the nation. Cardiothoracic Surgeons, PC, is Oregon's only dedicated specialty practice for cardiac surgery east of the Cascades.
The Heart Institute encourages participation by physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers committed to offering the highest quality cardiovascular care through the use of documented best practices, continuing education for providers and the public, and innovative clinical research.
