Women and Heart Disease

Wear Red Day a Success

In 2005, 251 Caregivers raised $1421 to raise awareness for women and heart disease, the number one killer of American women.

On behalf of the Heart Institute of the Cascades, thank you for participating in the first Wear Red Day at SCMC.  251 caregivers at both campuses and Empire contributed $5 (or more) to wear red and jeans Friday, February 4, 2005, in an effort to raise awareness about women and heart disease, the number one killer of American women.  The effort raised $1421 for the American Heart Association, which initiated the Go Red Campaign last year.  It is fantastic that we have such dedicated caregivers who are committed to wellness and prevention.  Thanks again!
