Heart Institute of the Cascades: Education
The Heart Institute's education programs promote community-based prevention strategies to reduce the incidence of heart-related disease. These programs educate physicians and community members about new protocols and technology for preventing, identifying, and treating heart disease.
Through Heart Institute education and research programs, local and regional physicians have access to the latest technology and research in order to provide leading-edge medical treatment to heart patients.
The Heart Institute and its founding members provide an annual Cardiovascular Medicine in the Cascades Conference, which provides practicing clinicians with the latest in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of heart disease. The conference takes place in Bend every August and is of value to cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, primary care physicians, physician assistants, echo technologists, nurses, and others who care for cardiac patients.
