Education

Contributions designated for Education help support programs to educate physicians and other health care professionals as well as lay community members about new protocols and technology for preventing, identifying, and treating heart disease.  Current programs include a weekly clinical cardiology conference where difficult or unique cardiovascular cases are presented and discussed by medical staff, nurses, medical technologists, and community physicians, active and retired;  also, the Heart Institute of the Cascades and its parent members host the annual Cardiovascular Medicine in the Cascades Conference, now in its 11th year, which provides practicing clinicians with the latest in diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of heart disease. Originally conceived as an added benefit for patrons of the annual SweetHeart Luau and Benefit Auction, the Heart Institute offers the Symposium for Heart Health and Financial Wisdom every February on the Friday before the Luau.  The Symposium provides patrons and the lay community with timely information about heart health issues as well as key financial topics.  For more information on Education programs, click here.
